What is Gir Cow & A2 Milk?

The indigenous breed of cow is easily differentiated by its hump, horn and throat skin which are absent in exotic breeds. Most important of all the difference is that the Gir cows are beautiful in looks and they are full of loving emotions whereas the exotic breeds lack both these features. When Gir Cow milk is consumed then its loving emotions are transferred to human being. HUMPS: We see prominent hump in all Vedic Gir cows. We see in all modern species the hump is practically absent. The hump in Vedic cows has a specific vein called Surya Ketu Nadi which is absent in non Vedic ones. This Nadi (vein) absorbs all the energies and radiations from sun, moon and all luminaries from universe and puts them in cow products like milk, urine, dung, ghee (clarified butter) etc. In Gir cow products of non Vedic species this divine effect of Surya Ketu Nadi is absent. Therefore it produces A2 Type Milk and Non-Vedic Jersey cow produces A1 Milk DEWLAP: is a prominent specific fold of skin below neck which is prominently present in Vedic cows as seen in photos above. This dewlap gives immunity power to cow and cow products. Prominent Forehead: The Vedic Gir cows have prominent forehead of round shape. The non-Vedic once have flat or almost flat forehead. Facial appearance: There is serenity on face of Vedic Gir cows which is absent in those of non-Vedic variety a2 Milk contains only the A2 protein, so it’s the original cows’ milk. Just like nature intended. And, if you can’t drink regular dairy milk, it might just help your body, too. Research has shown that A1 and A2 proteins digest differently. Current and growing scientific evidence supports that the different protein fragments produced have an impact on aspects of digestive function. The science is still catching up to what many healthcare professionals and consumers have been saying for years.

What is the natural A2 protein?

There are commonly many types of proteins naturally found in milk. Beta-casein protein is one type that accounts for about a third of the total milk protein. All cows make beta-casein protein. However, it’s the type of beta-casein that we believe makes all the difference for many.

A2 beta –casein protein is recognised as being the original beta-casein protein in cows. That is, originally all domesticated cows produced milk containing only the A2 protein.

However, owing to a natural genetic mutation, another milk protein (A1 beta-casein protein) appeared in Europe and spread throughout global herds via modern farming practises.

Our Story

365 Good Foods was founded in Nashik, India by Anand Dholi after he decided to make healthy and good food affordable for Indians. He learned that people who had discomfort when drinking ordinary cows’ milk were able to enjoy Gir Cow Milk without the same downsides because it contains only the pure A2 protein type and no A1. Today, our mission remains the same: to pioneer the scientific understanding of A2 Milk so we can bring more people the pleasure and nutritional goodness that only comes from real and natural dairy milk.

Our Farm & Dairy Practice

All cows in our Farm are GIR Cows from GIR, Saurashtra, Gujarat. Ghee Making Process: Curd (Dahi) is made from heated fresh GIR Cow milk, preparing curd and then churning of Curd & separation of fresh butter & butter-milk. Fresh Butter is heated & water portion is removed and Pure Ghee is obtained. Butter milk (after removal of Butter) is fed to Cows for natural Calcium, Vitamins & Minerals. No hormones or any injections like Oxytocin are given to enhance milk production. Milking is done after feeding to calf generously. Cows will re breaded naturally to maintain high pedigree. No artificial insemination. Cows are not in captivity and are grazing freely for most of the day in our huge organic - natural farm. Regular check-up of cows by a professional Veterinary doctor. This ghee has been manufactured from indigenous cows only. This is manufactured by traditional Hand churned method. No machines and no chemical used.
